Our mission

At Steward Construction, we strive to deliver the best building experience for our customers throughout Eastern Tennessee. Locally rooted, we value honesty, kindness, service, and quality craftsmanship in everything we create.

Steward Construction is a residential and commercial contractor, serving the East Tennessee area. We undertake a wide range of projects, including new home construction, commercial construction, home remodeling and renovations, general contracting, design-build services, agricultural structures, industrial structures, and construction management.

Meet the Team

Neil Crass is the founder and CEO of Steward Construction. In 2005, he took a risk to leave the corporate world and pursue his dream by taking on contracting full-time and never looked back. Rooted in faith and family, his vision is to help people across East Tennessee build, renovate, and renew their forever homes.

In 2017, he had the privilege of welcoming his son, Hunter Crass, into the company as a Project Manager. Hunter has a degree in Construction Engineering & is present on all of the job sites to ensure things run smoothly & efficiently.
